Terms & Conditions

1. Services Provided

Muck Away provides the following professional services:

  • Carpet cleaning
  • Upholstery cleaning
  • Hard floor cleaning
  • Carpet repair
  • Carpet dyeing

All necessary equipment and materials for the cleaning and restoration processes will be provided by Muck Away. Clients are responsible for supplying electricity and hot running water at the premises.

2. Payment Terms

Muck Away provides the following professional services:

  • Full payment is due on the day of service completion, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by Muck Away.
  • A late payment surcharge of 15% will be applied if payment is not made within 7 days of service completion.
  • If payment is not received within 21 days of completion or invoice date, the outstanding amount will be referred to a collection agency, and all associated costs will be added to the client’s balance.

3. Booking Fees

To secure a service date, clients must pay a 5% booking reservation fee of the quoted price. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. Access and Safety

Muck Away reserves the right to refuse service if premises are deemed hazardous or unsafe. Safe and unobstructed access must be provided by the client.

5. Handling Hazardous Materials

Muck Away can clean blood and other hazardous substances subject to additional charges and written agreement due to associated risks.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee

Clients must report any dissatisfaction with the service via phone or email within 24 hours of service completion.

Muck Away may issue a refunds at its discretion after a re-clean of the area under the following conditions:

  • The client complies with all obligations under these terms and conditions.
  • Muck Away can access the property within 48 hours to conduct re-cleaning.
  • Issues identified during the pre-inspection do not qualify for re-cleaning.

7. Limitations of Service

  • Muck Away does not guarantee the removal of all stains and will provide advice on the likelihood of successful cleaning after pre-inspection.
  • Muck Away reserves the right to decline further re-cleaning requests after an initial re-clean.

8. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide electricity, hot running water, and access to the property.
  • Clients must remove fragile and breakable items before the service begins. Muck Away is not liable for damages during the process.
  • Clients must inform Muck Away at the time of booking if furniture or items require moving. Muck Away reserves the right to refuse to move items.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Clients should provide as much notice as possible for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Services cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled date will incur a fee of 50% of the quoted price.

10. Inspection

  • The client or their representative must be present at the start and end of the cleaning process for inspection. If not present at the end, Muck Away will conduct the inspection, and no claims will be accepted afterward.
  • Muck Away is not responsible for securing or locking the property after service.

11. Inspection Exclusions

Muck Away will not be liable for:

  • Damage resulting from poor carpet fitting or existing conditions (e.g., loose tiles, cracked grout).
  • Existing damage, stains, burns, odours, or marks that cannot be fully remedied.
  • Service disruptions due to lack of electricity, hot water, or access.
  • Re-soiling or damage caused by third parties (e.g., pets, children) during or after service.
  • Permanent stains, reactivated odours from old spills, or colour variations in carpet dyeing.

12. Service Modifications

Muck Away reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services in cases of unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. Exact arrival times are not guaranteed due to potential delays such as traffic.

  • Carpet Repair: Repairs are performed to the best of our ability but may not perfectly match the original carpet in colour or texture.

Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Muck Away’s services, the client automatically agrees to these terms and conditions. It is the client’s responsibility to review these terms prior to booking.
